10 inch subwoofers have come a long way in the past couple years...used to be that a 10 subwoofer would be considered to be not that great of quality...

That you only got one if you couldn't afford a bigger one.

But these days you can find some really really loud 10 inch subs...And let me tell you something...They will rock your socks off.

However, there are a couple things to keep in mind, and shopping for 10 subwoofers can be daunting, especially if you've never really owned a high quality speaker before.

Luckily, that's exactly where I come in. What I'm going to do here is talk to you about my favorite 10 inch subwoofers, give you a couple recommendations for a couple different price ranges, and then let you be on your way.

I promise I won't hold you up long...I just want you to find your subwoofer as fast as possible!

The Super Budget Option

PYLE PLW10BL - $20 - This little guy is super cheap, but it really doesn't sound like it. In fact I've got a story for you...

The reason that I recommend this 10 subwoofer is because one time I was driving around with one of my buds, and he started playing some pretty thick tracks. I asked him where he got his sub and how much it was, because I was really impressed with it, and he showed it to me and told me how much it cost...needless to say my jaw dropped.

This guy is cheap, yes, and it is NOT the best subwoofer out there, but it is surprisingly high quality. It's got a pretty solid 600 Watts peak power, so if you're a guy who worries about wattage, then make your own judgements, but the sound on this thing really does speak for itself.

The Bang For Your Buck Option

Kicker Comp 07C104 - $50 - If you've never used a Kicker 10 subwoofer, then you're in for a treat. It's kind of incredible what this thing can do, even though it has a peak power of only 300 watts.

As they say, it's not the size of the boat, it's the motion of the ocean...This speaker is a prime example of that.

Now, the real question is if you'd rather have 1 of these or 2 of the PYLEs...and that's a question that I really can't answer for you. If you just want loud, I'd go with double PYLEs, if you want some really superior sound quality, I'd maybe consider the Kicker.

Make sure you start with pretty low volume if you buy this thing, this thing will blow your head off if you're not prepared!

The Premium Sound Option

Rockford Fosgate - $200 - These guys are the bee's knees. You will be on cloud 9, I can promise you that...These will absolutely blow you away.

Here are some quick tech specs for ya...You get a paper cone which has Kevlar fiber reinforcement...800 Watt peak power...spider vented aluminum basket...Dual 10 AWG compression...

Basically, you get the works. This is about as good as they come...it will blow any other 10 subwoofer that you've ever heard out of the water.

I have to be honest though, I've never actually heard this sub being used, I've only heard people talk about it...But I've only heard good things. Man, I can tell you that this subwoofer makes me wish I had $200 to blow on a speaker.
